What is a Site

A site refers to the name of the location where your cameras are situated. This could be the name of a farm or premises. Generally, all cameras at a site are connected to the same internet connection via an IFU.

Helpful Tip: When you register your cameras for the first time, we will automatically create a site called 'Default Site'. You can rename this if you want to by going to the Site Settings page. This could be the name of your house or business premises. This is where it may become confusing to understand the difference between Teams and Sites. However if you remember that the Team is a group of people viewing the camera(s) and a Site is purely the location as to where the camera(s) are situated eg. on the family farm.

If you have multiple farms or premises where you have separate camera systems installed you will setup multiple sites, each site will have its own internet connection and IFU.

The advantage that our dashboard offers is that you can view all of your sites at once or you can view just the cameras at an individual site. By grouping cameras into sites, it also makes troubleshooting easier.

Helpful Tip: If you want more fine grained control of the cameras in each view, you can create a custom view.
