Helpful Tips

Below are some helpful tips that will ensure your installation is easy and straightforward.

1
We recommend you set the system up on your kitchen table before you take it out to the shed. This will save time later if there are any problems as it is difficult to troubleshoot when it is mounted inside a shed.
2
Transmitter Alignment – make sure the transmitters have the best line of sight as possible.

3

Drip loops will prevent water tracking back down the cable and into the connections.

4
Take your time when installing your system, an extra half an hour during set up to secure cables etc properly will help prevent damage in the future. Bailer twine is not a great way to secure your cables in place!

5
The best place to mount your camera is often in the center. With 360 degree pan, tilt and zoom you will minimise the distance to the furthest point of your shed.
6
Sometimes, with a long narrow shed you will get a better view from the side of the shed. If the roof is quite low this can make it easier to see what is below the camera and with narrow sheds you will not have a problem zooming to the far side.
7
Height is also something to consider. We would suggest that higher is better. The higher you are in the shed the less chance you have of one animal standing in front of another
